In cases where books are actually lost or damaged and cannot be returned, BookRenter.com takes out the original renting price, the extension fees, and late-return fees from the total sum that the customer has to settle to clear his account. This does not help much when one has to fully pay the full 140% charge but it provides welcome knowledge that all prior costs are adequately included into the final purchase cost, which means no penny goes to waste.

BookRenter.com also only accepts payments from major credit cards – Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discovery but Debit Cards and other financing methods such as PayPal are not accepted giving it a little disadvantage over much more versatile renters.
